Binghamton, NY Disaster Mission Trip: September 30 - October 3, 2011. This is a great example of a group of people going and “being the church”. One person with a passion to help, recruiting others to “go” with her. Although it is not an official Cove trip, it is a trip designed to bring hope and restoration to a community that was hit hard by Hurricane Irene.Trip Cost: $120 for gas. All meals and lodging facilities are being provided by the local church. First Presbyterian Church of Johnson City NY has a disaster relief shelter set up for volunteers with shower facilities, lodging and food. It is a 10 hour drive; you will need to bring sleeping bag and toiletries items.

Most requested items are: Baby supplies, diapers, wipes, formula, food, water, cleaning supplies, heavy duty rubber gloves, canned food.
