South Africa Update...do something

Another glorious day in SA...shared Jesus with approximately 150 youth at a youth event. Made too many bagged lunches for the event, so we developed a kind of "meals on wheels", where we went into the villages and handed the lunches out to children and adults. It was a beautiful but humbling experience. It is hard to look suffering in the face especially when it looks back at you in the way of a 3 year old with no shoes, ripped clothing and a hungry belly! But we must if we are to love like Jesus and make a difference.

If you cut concern for the poor out of the Bible, you cut the heart out of it...God's heart!  God makes the poor his priority and as Christians we should as well.  I heard it once said "poverty is not the lack of charity but the lack of justice".  Our team can not do everything but we are not letting that stop us from doing something!
